A singer from Swansea has been hand-picked to perform alongside industry legends at a charity dinner in London to commemorate the life of renowned actress and humanitarian Audrey Hepburn.
The event, which will take place on Saturday October 6 at The Royal Lancaster Hotel, will feature a Q&A with Audrey Hepburn’s youngest son Luca Dotti, as well as performances by harmony group The Overtones and Britain’s Got Talent finalist, Julian Smith.
22-year old Kirsten, widely known as ‘Forces Sweetheart’, will take to the stage with the two well-known musicians and perform several of Audrey Hepburn’s songs from classic movies such as ‘Moon River’. The event has been organised in aid of Lymphoma Action and EURORDIS – Rare Diseases Europe.
Kirsten Orsborn said:
“When I was younger, I really looked up to Audrey. She was my role model in every sense, from her poise as an actress to her complete determination in helping those in need across the globe. Since I began singing, it has always been my dream to perform her songs in front of an audience. Not only has my dream come true in ways I could not have imagined, but I will also be able to show how Audrey has inspired me with my own music when I perform ‘Songbird’ at the event.”
Marc Silver, CEO of Square Group Ltd, said:
“It’s a true honour to have Kirsten performing at Square Rock’s event, Remembering Audrey Hepburn. I have known Kirsten for a few years now and I know she has a special talent with huge potential. This event will attract worldwide attention due to the nature of celebrating the much-loved icon Audrey Hepburn. I wanted to give Kirsten the platform to show people what she has to offer, and I know she won’t let me down.”
