Powys Council & Construction Futures Wales have jointly announced two supplier engagement days for local construction companies.
These events will provide local construction businesses with a valuable opportunity to join the local authority supply chain, and businesses who attend will be able to have a 1-2-1 meeting to pitch their business to the Powys Procurement team.
The events form part of Powys County Council’s aim to increase their local spend over the next 3 years.
The Supplier Engagement Days will take place in Brecon Castle hotel on 11th September & Newtown Football Club on 13th September between 10am-4pm. Interested businesses can register here.
Construction Futures Wales along with Business Wales, CITB, Constructionline, CHAS and many more will also be present at the events to discuss potential support for local companies within the construction industry.
Construction Futures Wales’ Event Manager, Bethan Wright, says:
“These events will offer the opportunity to win work for projects in the area, both through Powys Council directly, and their preferred contractors. Construction Futures Wales will also be offering bespoke business support surgeries at both events.”
“Powys County Council are making a concerted effort to increase their local spend and use Powys based businesses, this is a commendable choice that I believe will enable some local businesses to grow!”
These events are building on the success of the two previous supplier days held by Powys County Council in 2017 which was attended by over 150 people.
Registration for this event closes at midday on the 3rd of September, registration is available through the Construction Futures Wales website.
