Brecon Beacons Trekfest returns in 2019

The ultimate UK trekking challenge, TrekFest, returns on 6th July 2019!

Taking place in the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park, TrekFest is the ideal challenge for beginners looking to take on their first trekking challenge or experienced trekkers searching for their next adventure!

Since 2013, TrekFest has raised almost £2 million for charities nationwide; by signing up to TrekFest, you can really make a different to the charity of your choice. With both a 25km and 50km challenge available, TrekFest is sure to push you to your limits, both mentally and physically, but with the help of our incredible event crew and support from fellow trekkers you will cross that finish line knowing you have achieved something incredible!

Following the success of this year’s sold out event, with over 1250 participants taking part, we are expecting record numbers for TrekFest 2019! Participants can enter as either an individual or a team, with team members free to choose their distance and fundraise for the team’s chosen charity or their own individual choice.

Company Director at Global Adventure Challenges, Peter Robinson said:

“Since its launch in 2013 TrekFest has quickly become one of our most popular events, with a record number of trekkers joining us for our 2018 challenge. It is the perfect opportunity for those looking to take on an adventure whilst supporting a cause they’re passionate about.

“TrekFest will push your boundaries like never before but with the right training and preparation it is more than achievable – so newcomers to trekking shouldn’t be put off! The team spirit will be flying high all weekend so whether you sign up solo or as part of a team, you’ll be surrounded by likeminded individuals and the sense of camaraderie will be incredible!”

Both the 25km and 50km routes involve summiting the highest peak in South Wales – Pen y Fan, whilst being surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, stunning hills and tranquil reservoirs. A TrekFest Beacons 2017 conqueror said

What an experience! The place, the weather, the people … All fabulous! GAC obviously know how to plan a challenge like this and were very professional in their delivery but also very human, personable and engaging throughout. Gorgeous food, fab massage and lots of water and snacks on route!”
