Return to Swansea for housebuilder Waterstone Homes

Leading Welsh property developer Waterstone Homes is set to make a return to housebuilding in Swansea after three years with a brand-new luxury residential scheme on the outskirts of the city.

Following the resounding success of its Howell’s Reach development in Derwen Fawr, which sold out in just six months, the high-end housebuilder has confirmed a second Swansea location after securing another sought after site in the region.

Listening to its customers, the housebuilder has introduced homes that are that little bit more affordable with lower starting prices than its first city development.

Set in the affluent and cosmopolitan Swansea suburb of Killay, the exclusive development, named ‘Copper Beeches’, will consist of nine four and five bedroom family homes, incorporating a mix of semi-detached and detached properties.

In keeping with the lifestyle desired by Waterstone Homes’ buyers, each home will feature open plan layouts as well as the high-end specification expected from the Waterstone Homes brand including Amtico flooring and top of the range kitchens with NEFF appliances. The development benefits from being located near to the city centre and key transport links, as well as its proximity to the coast, the Mumbles, and the countryside of the Gower Peninsula – an area of outstanding natural beauty – all of which are less than 10 minutes away.

Waterstone Homes last built homes in the city in 2016, when it completed ‘Howell’s Reach’, a stylish development of 17 four and five bedroom family homes in Derwen Fawr.

With house prices at the Howell’s Reach site having already risen by 5%, purchasing a home at the new development could be a smart investment.

Andrea Gardner, Sales and Marketing Director at Waterstone Homes, said:

“We are thrilled to be returning to Swansea for our next development. Our first collection of properties in Howell’s Reach received an excellent response from the public and proved to be one of our most popular schemes to date, testament to the strength of the property market in the Swansea area.

“From fantastic shopping and dining, stunning countryside, great transport links and good schools, universities and employment opportunities, Swansea has everything you could possibly want and need. It’s an incredible city, which is why we chose to build in the area once again.

“We’re excited to see the development take shape over the coming months and to replicate our previous success with Copper Beeches. Our homes have also performed better than other properties on the market so a new home at Killay could be a great investment opportunity. We look forward to welcoming new homeowners to the area and hope they enjoy the wonderful community we will develop here.”

Work on the properties is due to break ground in January, with the homes expected to be completed and available in the autumn of 2019. Anticipated figures will be launched in the New Year.
