Milestone for New Homes near Mold

The first residents have moved into new homes near Mold, marking a pivotal point in the progress of the Elan Homes development.

The homebuilder is transforming the site of a former service station on Main Road, Argoed, into a highly desirable place to live. Nine homes have already been sold and as residents begin moving in to Argoed Gardens, Elan is encouraging potential purchasers to visit the show homes to appreciate the quality and finish and explore the local area.

The first residents have moved in to Argoed Gardens, where the Elan show home is open Saturdays and Sundays

Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, said:

“There’s been a real buzz around Argoed Gardens as people have been keen to see the land brought back into good use. It’s now unrecognisable from how it looked just a few months ago. The first homeowners starting to move in marks a key milestone for the development and shows how far we’ve come in a short time.

“Location, along with the quality Elan has built its reputation on, has been key to the success of the development. The homes enjoy a best of both worlds appeal. They are just are short journey from Mold, ranked as one of the best market towns in the UK, and enjoy easy access to the surrounding Welsh countryside. Plus, many of the properties enjoy long views towards Moel Famau. We would invite anyone who hasn’t already viewed the show home to come along and see our progress for themselves.”

Argoed Gardens offers a choice of three and four-bedroom properties, many of which are within the £300,000 threshold for Help to Buy Wales.

It gives buyers the chance to secure a move to Argoed Gardens with a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage. The remaining 20% is covered by an equity loan, which is interest free for five years.

Priced from £199,995, the three-bedroom semi-detached Howden makes an ideal first home.

It features a combined lounge/dining room, with French doors leading out to the garden. The well equipped kitchen is at the front, with a convenient cloakroom completing the ground floor. Upstairs, the master bedroom is a good-size; while one of the two remaining bedrooms would make a great nursery or study.

The Howden is available with carpets and vinyl flooring included, plus turf to rear garden.
